This course introduces VET educators to the skills and competences students will need in the fast-growing green economy. It focuses on future job profiles, labour market demands, and motivational strategies to engage learners in sustainable career choices.

Description:

The global shift towards sustainability creates new opportunities and challenges for VET. This training explores how teachers can guide learners towards green professions by analysing labour market trends, renewable energy jobs, and circular economy practices. Participants will work on project ideas that connect vocational training to real-world green industries.

Aims and objectives:

- Identify future skills linked to green jobs and sustainable growth
- Explore labour market trends shaping VET curricula
- Motivate students to pursue environmentally responsible careers
- Integrate green economy topics into classroom and workplace learning

Learning outcomes:

- Recognise upcoming green job opportunities
- Design lessons that link VET subjects with sustainability goals
- Apply strategies to inspire students towards eco-conscious career paths
- Strengthen partnerships with industry actors in the green economy

  • VET teachers, trainers, mentors, coordinators

Minimum level of language: English B1 or B1+
