Description:

This course explores how outdoor and adventure-based learning can improve student motivation, wellbeing and cooperation. Participants learn practical activities, group challenges and nature-based tasks that can be adapted to any age group and school setting. The course connects wellbeing, sustainability and experiential pedagogy—three major Erasmus priorities.

 

Aims and objectives:

Participants will:

  • Discover outdoor learning methodologies
  • Build a toolkit of nature-based and low-prep outdoor activities
  • Learn groupwork, cooperation and resilience-building techniques
  • Understand wellbeing benefits of experiential learning
  • Develop outdoor lesson plans adaptable to any school

Learning outcomes:

Participants will be able to:

  • Facilitate outdoor learning safely and effectively
  • Use adventure-based tasks to build cooperation
  • Integrate wellbeing goals into teaching
  • Adapt outdoor lessons for urban and indoor environments
  • Apply risk management and safety protocols

 

Target groups: 

  • Teachers, school leaders, wellbeing coordinators.

Minimum level of language: English B1 or B1+

Duration of training: 35 lessons, 7 days
