Description:
This course focuses on the recognition, prevention and safe management of cyberbullying and online risks. Participants learn how digital interactions differ from offline relationships, how harmful online behaviours emerge, and how to support students in navigating the digital world responsibly. The course offers concrete tools, protocols and educational approaches for teaching digital citizenship and online wellbeing.
Aims and objectives:
Participants will:
- Understand the psychological and social mechanisms of cyberbullying
- Learn to recognise typical online aggression patterns
- Explore prevention tools for students, teachers and parents
- Practice safe and effective intervention strategies
- Understand digital footprints, privacy, social media dynamics
- Build school-level guidelines for online safety and digital wellbeing
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish cyberbullying from traditional bullying
- Recognise online harassment, impersonation, exclusion and spreading harmful content
- Teach students how to protect themselves online
- Implement digital citizenship lessons aligned with EU frameworks
- Use response protocols for cyber incidents
- Educate parents on supervising and supporting online behaviour
