English language teacher, digital storytelling
I’ve been an English as a Foreign Language teacher for seven years, currently spending my fifth year at Fazekas Mihály Primary and Secondary Grammar School of Budapest.
I have always had a fascination with collaborative storytelling. Whether it be playing role-playing games with my friends, or partaking in improv comedy, stories have always been a central motif of my life. This rings true in my teaching practice as well, as in my lessons I strive to focus on communication, creativity, and the joy of collaboration and creation so as to improve my students not only in terms of language competence but also in a variety of other skills. Over the years, I’ve facilitated digital storytelling projects, plays written by students, “choose-your-own-adventure” modules, and the creation of podcasts, poems, and short stories in collaborative ways. I’ve also collaborated with a colleague of mine to develop an innovative collaborative storytelling board game (Erasmus+-project).
Aside from teaching English, I also teach Hungarian as a Foreign Language, have designed tasks for the National Digital Competency Measurement tests, and regularly devise tasks for a variety of competitions.
