Lovro Šverko is an experienced computer science teacher and science / robotics mentor with a demonstrated history of working in secondary education. Skilled in Robotics, IoT, Programming (C, C++, C#, Java, Python), Embedded systems, Computer Science in general, Educational Technology, Management, and Continuous Improvement. 

He is currently leading a team of robotics students called Zvane Roboticz at High School Zvane Črnje in Rovinj, which was founded in 2019. At the professional inter-county competition WorldSkills 2019 in the field of robotics, members of the team won third place. Two years later, the members of Zvane Robotics Team won third place at the world robotics competition, FIRST Global Challenge 2021 as Team Croatia. The students of the AllGirls team Zvane Roboticz won 5th place at the state professional competition WorldSkills 2022 in the field of robotics.

He received the annual Croatian Robotics Association’s award for education in robotics, especially for exceptional contribution to the development and improvement of extracurricular education in the field of robotics in year 2021.

At High School for Electrical Engineering and Computing in Rijeka he led extracurricular student groups Pozitron (robotics, automation), School HelpDesk (young system engineers) and the 3D printing group, as well as the Smart House, Smart City and Generation NEXT projects. Smart House team won second place at the State Competition of Student Projects in the field of electrical engineering and computing in 2017, and the members of the Smart City team won a gold medal at the State Competition of Innovators in 2018 and a gold medal at the International Competition of Innovators in 2018 for project Optimization of waste removal.

He also works as a mentor at the Višnjan Science Education Center and volunteers at the Višnjan Astronomical Society, where he holds workshops and leads projects with other mentors and participants in Youth Science Camps (YSC) with an emphasis on development and innovation in technology as support for scientific research.

He is the president of the Pozitron association and one of the organizers of the first high school E-sport tournament in the Republic of Croatia.
