Description:
The aim of the course is to give teachers the opportunity to experience first-hand the work of self-discovery that comes from combining stories with museum exhibitions. This method supports the unpacking of wisdom hidden in fairy tales, framing, shifting perspectives and anxiety relief.
The methodology they learn will help them to apply the personal development opportunities offered by fairy tales in their everyday work. They will learn to recognise the solutions offered by fairy tales to the difficulties of life and educational situations.
The one-week theoretical and practical training programme covers both traditional and innovative applications of teaching. The aim is to make lessons inspiring and interesting, rather than frontal teaching in schools. This course is suitable for teachers in upper primary, secondary, vocational, higher and adult education.
The course will introduce participants to a variety of story use ideas: types of intelligence, the cooperative method, coaching approaches, questioning techniques, drama games, the use of association and word cards, songs, sayings and musical instruments, all of which will colour and deepen the impact of the method.
The interactive course encourages teacher participation in workshops and group work. As a conclusion to the course, you are invited to develop your own personal development plan and implement what you would like to try in your own classroom.
